A thought about unpredictability
We make up stories about people we don't know. We make assumptions about them based on their hair, clothes, car, facial expressions, the way they walk, etc etc.
That's why it's so much more interesting when someone breaks the mold and doesn't behave like we assumed them to.
That's why compelling stories almost always have an element of unpredictability. Its why I always fight the urge to fall in line and do what's expected of me (don't read as irresponsibility, I take care of what needs to be taken care of).
Make the story interesting!
